1 year agoAccording to 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey, the franchise will wait before offering a contract extension to guard Tyrese Maxey. While Morey is high on the 2020 first-round pick, "the quirk of the CBA" will allow Philly to add "a significant player next year" before the club turns its attention to him. Maxey averaged a career-high 20.3 points and 43.4% shooting from deep last season, so the team wants to keep him on the roster for a long time. But from a fantasy standpoint, the 22-year-old should be a reliable option for many seasons to come, even though he still has plenty to work on moving forward.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
