Irv Smith Jr. Continues To Get Attention
1 year agoCincinnati Bengals tight end Irv Smith Jr. continues to receive rave reviews. "Irv is good in space," said offensive coordinator Brian Callahan. "He's different than the tight ends we've had before. He has a real ability to separate and win after the catch." It appears Smith is adjusting well with the Bengals, who he signed with back in March. While the 24-year-old had nine touchdowns during his tenure in Minnesota, he was never a reliable offensive option. But Smith has a chance to have his best year to date, assuming Joe Burrow (calf) is the guy throwing him the ball throughout the 2023-24 campaign. Fantasy managers searching for a tight end late in drafts should look in Smith's direction, primarily since he could exceed expectations.
