Ryan McKenna, 0.5 Singles (LOWER)
Baltimore is facing lefty David Peterson at home tonight in Baltimore. Peterson has a 5.92 ERA but a 3.48 xFIP. His 24% strikeout rate and the O's 26% rate will make hitting difficult for the Birds. McKenna is batting .253/.307/.374 with 29 strikeouts for the season. He has 27 singles in 219 plate appearances versus left-handed pitchers. Tonight, lower than 0.5 singles for McKenna is the way.
Jake Alu, 0.5 Singles (LOWER)
Alu and the Nationals face right-hander Graham Ashcraft this evening in Cincinnati. This season, Alu is batting .250/.286/.250, and versus righties, he is .235/.278./235 with four hits, one RBI, and five strikeouts. He is two for eight in eight plate appearances on the road versus right-handers. Alu is in a rut, and I don't expect him to come out of it tonight in Cincinnati.
Kyle Hendricks, 3.5 Strikeouts (LOWER)
The Cubs and Hendricks are facing a hot Atlanta team with a 133 wRC+ and .251 ISO for the season. Hendricks has a 15% strikeout rate and is one for two in his last five outings. He has a 3.49 ERA but a 4.55 xFIP. Atlanta has a 133 wRC+ for the season, versus righties: 117. Hendricks will have difficulty striking out anyone tonight in Atlanta, let alone more than 3.5.
Elvis Andrus, 0.5 Batter Strikeouts (HIGHER)
The White Sox face lefty Logan Allen in Cleveland tonight, who has a 23% K rate. Chicago's team strikeout rate is 26%. For the season, Andrus is slashing .204/.280/.274, and in his last ten at-bats, he is .000/.000/.000 with three strikeouts. Versus lefties this season, he is .179/.273/.194 with 19 strikeouts. Don't overthink it; he will easily go over 0.5 strikeouts tonight in Cleveland.
Yordan Alvarez, 1.5 Total Bases (HIGHER)
Alvarez and the Astros are facing righty Luis Severino, who has a 7.49 ERA and 5.06 xFIP. He has an 18% K rate for the season, and the Astros have a 22% K rate versus right-handed pitchers. In Alvarez's last five games, he is slashing .421/.476/.789 with two home runs and four RBI. Versus righties this season, Alvarez has 14 home runs and 36 RBI, and in his last five games versus right-handed pitchers, he is batting .353/.421/.765 with a 1.19 OPS. Going over 1.5 total bases could happen in his first at-bat!
Bryce Harper, 8.0 Fantasy Points (HIGHER)
Versus right-handed pitchers this season, Harper is slashing .305/.400/.416 with a .816 OPS and 123 wRC+. Philadelphia has an 87 wRC+ for the season but 101 versus righties. Philly is at home facing Jordan Lyles, who has a 17% strikeout rate with a 5.36 xFIP. Jordan Lyles is two and 12 for the season, one and six on the road. Harper has five home runs for the season, two post-All-Star break, in the month of July. One home run against Lyles, and he'll be over 8 fantasy points. Mark it over eight, Dude!
