Israel Abanikanda Scores In Hall Of Fame Game
1 year agoNew York Jets running back Israel Abanikanda handled nine carries for 27 yards and a touchdown in Thursday night's loss to the Cleveland Browns. The rookie added a reception for five yards on his only target. He started the game and played throughout the first half before ceding work to Travis Dye and Damarea Crockett. Abanikanda, a fifth-round draft selection, will need to impress this preseason to earn a role for himself in New York's backfield that also includes Breece Hall, Michael Carter, and Zonovan Knight. With Dalvin Cook in serious talks to join the team, the Jets' running back room could become even more crowded before Week 1. Abanikanda is just an interesting stash in dynasty leagues for the time being.
