New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson had a fantastic rookie campaign, compiling 1,103 yards and four touchdowns on 83 receptions. The quarterback play was questionable at best, as the Ohio State product caught passes from Joe Flacco, Mike White, and Zach Wilson. Now, he has future Hall-of-Famer Aaron Rodgers to work with.
However, the 23-year-old receiver is in the injury headlines after just one week of training camp. We have his latest update.

Garrett Wilson Injury Update For Fantasy Football
Wilson (ankle) hobbled off the field and left practice early on Thursday, and he is reportedly dealing with a low-ankle sprain. The team is going to be cautious with him, per head coach Robert Saleh. That said, he could miss several upcoming practices, meaning Allen Lazard, Corey Davis, Randall Cobb, and Mecole Hardman Jr. could get additional looks from Aaron Rodgers during training camp.
While an offseason injury to a star fantasy receiver is concerning, Wilson seems to be at very little risk of missing regular season action.
Garrett Wilson 2023 Fantasy Football Outlook
Assuming Wilson is at full strength for the 2023 season, he carries fantasy WR1 expectations into his sophomore campaign. Wilson is locked in as Aaron Rodgers' No. 1 wide receiver and he should have plenty of touchdown upside this year.
Wilson's ADP sits around the WR10 slot in late-July drafts and his upside could be a top-three finish at the position given the pairing with Rodgers. While New York added several new pieces to its wide receiver corps, none of Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, or Mecole Hardman Jr. should present fierce target competition for Wilson.
The last six wide receivers to post at least 1,000 yards as a rookie (Amari Cooper, Michael Thomas, A.J. Brown, Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, Jaylen Waddle) have all posted high-end WR1 seasons thereafter. Wilson should be in line to continue that trend.
