Cardinals Not Trading Nolan Arenado
1 year agoAccording to St. Louis Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak, star third baseman Nolan Arenado will not be traded. "I have stated we are not trading him, have not asked him to waive his no-trade clause," said Mozeliak. "So, at this time, we are working on building for future success." With the Cardinals selling, there were rumors of Arenado being moved ahead of the MLB Trade Deadline on Monday. Los Angeles Dodgers were one of the teams that contacted the Cardinals about possibly acquiring Arenado. The 32-year-old will remain in St. Louis for the time being. Arenado is slashing .284/.332/.517 with 22 home runs, 77 RBI, 48 runs, and two stolen bases over 100 games in 2023.
