Ty Gibbs Earns Top 10 Start At Richmond
1 year agoTy Gibbs, who qualified seventh on Saturday afternoon, will be one of five Toyota's starting in the top 10 of Sunday's Cook Out 400. After finishing in the top five at Pocono last weekend, the 2022 Xfinity Champion will look to build off this momentum heading into Richmond, a track he finished ninth at earlier this year. With just five races left in the regular season, the 20-year-old JGR star is 19th in the playoff standings, just 28 points below the cutoff line. Given his strong starting position for Sunday's race, at a track that is difficult to pass at, expect a big day for the No. 54 Camry.
