1 year agoThe Chicago White Sox acquired catching prospect Korey Lee (oblique) from the Houston Astros on Friday in exchange for right-handed reliever Kendall Graveman, according to a source. Lee was ranked by MLB Pipeline as Houston's No. 5 prospect before the trade. The 25-year-old backstop is currently recovering from a strained oblique and has been on the injured list in the minors since early July, but he'll join Triple-A Charlotte when he's fully healthy. Lee struggled with the bat on the farm in 2022 but was hitting a solid .283/.328/.406 with five home runs and 12 stolen bases in 68 games for Triple-A Sugar Land before suffering his oblique injury. Lee is a power over average hitter and is still developing defensively behind the dish after becoming a full-time catcher in 2019.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
