1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers' third baseman/outfielder Brian Anderson (back) isn't expected to return from the injured list until early-to-mid August. He has been sidelined since July 16 after suffering a lower-back strain. The 30-year-old took grounders and hit in the cage earlier in the week. Anderson is slashing .229/.317/.373 with nine homers and 38 RBI over 383 plate appearances in 2023. The Brewers recently acquired first baseman Carlos Santana from the Pittsburgh Pirates, potentially taking at-bats away from Anderson once he returns. Andruw Monasterio will continue to handle the hot corner while Anderson is sidelined.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
