New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson was the 10th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The former Ohio State star was the second wide receiver drafted last year behind USC’s Drake London.
Wilson had an outstanding college career. Over the first two years at Ohio State, the young wide receiver had 73 receptions for 1,155 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. However, he took off in his final college season. Wilson had 70 receptions for 1,058 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in 2021, finishing top-four in all three categories.
More importantly, the former Buckeye star was excellent as a rookie despite an awful quarterback situation. Wilson had 83 receptions on 147 targets for 1,103 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Furthermore, the rookie ended last season as the WR19, averaging 10.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.

Is Garrett Wilson Injured Or Healthy?
Wilson has been a popular sophomore-year breakout candidate this offseason after the Jets traded for former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The future Hall of Fame quarterback has won four MVP awards, including two over the past three years.
However, fantasy players are having a heart attack. Earlier today, Wilson left practice with an ankle injury. The second-year star wide receiver limped to the locker room.
Head coach Robert Saleh said Wilson is fine and the injury is minor. More importantly, the regular season is still six weeks away. Even if he has to miss a few weeks of practice because of the injury, there is no reason to think Wilson won’t be ready come Week 1.
Should I Draft Garrett Wilson This Year?
Unless something wild happens and we find out Wilson’s ankle is broken, fantasy players should feel confident drafting the former Ohio State star. The second-year player has been connecting with Rodgers this offseason, creating several highlight-reel plays during practice.
Last year Wilson and Chris Olave were the only two rookie wide receivers with over 1,000 receiving yards. Yet, both wide receivers should be even better this season after their teams upgraded the quarterback position in the offseason.
Wilson is a mid-second-round ADP, according to RotoBaller ADP. The former Ohio State star is the 10th wide receiver off the board on average. Fantasy players should feel confident drafting the second-year player at that cost.
