Is Noah Fant Injured or Healthy? Fantasy Football Injury Update

Noah Fant - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Is Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant healthy or injured? Will Noah Fant be ready for training camp? Will Noah Fant's fantasy value be impacted by injury? Will Noah Fant be ready for the season?

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant was scooped up by some fantasy managers last season when their starting tight end got injured or had bye weeks.

The former Bronco had a couple of big games in his first season as a Seahawk. He caught five passes for 96 yards in Week 9 against the Cardinals. Overall he had a down season, catching fewer passes than either of his past two seasons and gaining fewer yards than any of his seasons.

Fant will be on the radar as a potential backup fantasy tight end in 2023 as long as he is healthy. Is he healthy?

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Noah Fant Injury Update

Noah Fant was placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list on Wednesday. He has a knee issue, according to coach Pete Carroll. Carroll said Fant "had a little work done." Few details are available, but from what Carroll says, it doesn't seem like a severe injury.

Will Noah Fant Be Ready For Week 1?

Being on the PUP list means Noah Fant cannot work with the team in practice or preseason. He will be eligible to play in Week 1 if he's healthy. In the preseason, Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson will be getting all of the reps.

Dissly caught 34 passes for 349 yards and three touchdowns last season, numbers that were only slightly less than Fant's. The team can trust him if Fant is limited. Therefore, Fant might be eased into the lineup early on.

Fant should be available and get in sync quickly. He has only missed two games in his career, so you should not be too concerned about him missing significant time in 2023.

Noah Fant 2023 Fantasy Football Outlook

Noah Fant was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and he has always shown promise. He made an impact during his rookie season, catching 40 passes for 562 yards and three touchdowns.

He improved his second season in the league, catching 62 passes for 673 yards and three scores. Fant plateaued and in his third season, he barely matched the numbers he put up in his second season.

In 2021, Fant finished as the TE12 in PPR while playing for the Broncos, but last season he only finished as the TE17. Will Fant return to his 2021 form? Will he have a breakout and become a top-tier fantasy TE?

It would be tough for him to finish in the top ten fantasy tight ends due to intense target competition. Not only do the Seahawks have Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, and incoming rookie wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but they also have competition at the tight end position.

Last season, Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson both had over 30 targets, and they were pretty efficient. Both had over 9.0 yards per target, while Fant had 7.7 yards per target. Fant should still be the No. 1 tight end on the Seahawks, but he just won't be a tier-one fantasy tight end.
