Brock Purdy To Take Things Slow
1 year agoAccording to ESPN NFL reporter Nick Wagoner, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (elbow) will begin training camp on a "pitch count." General manager John Lynch reported that the signal-caller is cleared to play after undergoing UCL surgery this offseason. However, the plan is for Purdy to get time off every few days for the next two weeks, so fantasy managers shouldn't be alarmed by an occasional absence. The 23-year-old finished last season by throwing for 1,374 yards, 13 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He also completed 67.1% of his attempts. That said, anyone planning on drafting Purdy heading into the 2023-24 campaign should consider adding Trey Lance and Sam Darnold for insurance purposes.
