Mike Clevinger Likely To Start On Saturday
1 year agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Mike Clevinger (biceps) is expected to make his return to the mound against the Cleveland Guardians on Saturday. The right-hander has been out since the middle of June due to a right biceps injury. He was able to throw a simulated earlier this week, so it sounds like he'll be ready to pitch soon. The 32-year-old holds a 3.88 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 53 strikeouts over 12 starts this season. The White Sox are likely trying to get Clevinger back on the mound before the trade deadline to help increase his value.
