1 year agoThe Brooklyn Nets are signing center Patrick Gardner to a training-camp deal, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The undrafted rookie out of Marist played for the Miami Heat during summer league and averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 11.7 minutes per contest. In his lone year at Marist, Gardner posted 19.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game. Brooklyn's front office will likely try to gather as many backup center prospects as they can to find one to fit on the bench behind Nicolas Claxton.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller
