C.J. Stroud Agrees To Rookie Deal
1 year agoTexans quarterback C.J. Stroud reached an agreement with the organization on his rookie contract on Monday, just days before training camp. Stroud agreed to terms on a fully-guaranteed four-year deal worth $36.3 million overall with a $23.38 million signing bonus -- which he gets all of upfront. The No. 2 overall pick looks to beat out Davis Mills in training camp to be named the Week 1 starter, but it's not a sure thing at this point in the offseason. Stroud will likely have limited fantasy upside with a pass-catching group headlined by Nico Collins, Robert Woods, John Metchie III, and Dalton Schultz, but will be worth holding onto in dynasty formats even if he struggles as a rookie.
