Ryan Preece A Great DFS Play After Qualifying 34th At Pocono
1 year agoRyan Preece was the slowest qualifier at Pocono Raceway on Saturday afternoon, posting a lap of 54.586 seconds--nearly two full seconds slower than the pole time set. And while this effort has to be discouraging for Preece and his Stewart-Haas Racing team, daily fantasy players should definitely look into picking Preece on Sunday in the HighPoint.com 400. While the No. 41 Ford hasn't been stellar this year, Preece is still averaging a finish of 22.0 this season, and he tends to get faster as the races go on. This season, Preece has four previous races where he has started in 30th-place or worse (Dover, Las Vegas, Darlington, and Richmond) and he has finished between 17th and 23rd in all four of those events. In DFS contests, a finish like that will be great out of Preece on Sunday, as he will earn points for the place differential between his starting position and finishing position. Here at Pocono specifically, Preece has finished between 8th- and 25th-place in five of his six career starts.
