Luiz Arraez Doubles And Triples In Loss
1 year agoMiami Marlins second baseman Luis Arraez went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, one RBI, and one run scored in a 4-3 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Saturday. Arraez did all he could to stop the bleeding and end Miami's losing streak, but it wasn't enough. He knocked a ground-rule double for his first hit in the bottom of the third inning before lacing an RBI triple off Chase Anderson to score Jon Berti in the bottom of the fifth inning. He would come around to score in that same frame via a Jorge Soler sacrifice fly but Miami would go on to lose their eighth game in a row. Arraez has "slowed down" a bit over the last 15 contests, batting .300 with six RBI across 60 at-bats but is still the league leader in batting average and on-base percentage. The 26-year-old hitting machine is slashing .375/.424/.468 with three home runs, 47 RBI, and one stolen base over 363 at-bats on the year.
