1 year agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager (thumb) has gone off for an MRI on his sprained thumb, and while the results haven't come down yet, the team is anticipating him to go on the injured list. Well, that's a bummer to hear. Seager jammed his thumb while sliding into second base during Friday's loss to the Dodgers and the initial X-rays came back clean for structural damage. He was held out of Saturday's lineup as he was apparently still dealing with some soreness but it looks like the injury is worse than anticipated, hence the MRI. The Rangers are expected to provide an update before Saturday's game against the Dodgers. Stay tuned.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
