1 year agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager (thumb) is not in the lineup for Saturday's contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The veteran shortstop sprained his thumb on a slide into second base during Friday's loss to the Dodgers so he'll be sitting out on Saturday and possibly Sunday as well. The good news is that the X-rays came back negative for any structural damage to his thumb, but he's likely dealing with some soreness. It'll be Ezequiel Duran covering shortstop in Seager's place against Bobby Miller and the Dodgers. Fantasy managers should consider Seager day-to-day for now.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
