Melvin Gordon Heading To Baltimore
1 year agoVeteran running back Melvin Gordon reached an agreement on a one-year deal worth up to $3.1 million with the Baltimore Ravens on Friday. The 30-year-old running back played in 10 games for the Denver Broncos last season, rushing 90 times for 318 yards (3.5 YPC) and two touchdowns and catching 25 passes for 223 yards. Gordon fumbled five times and was released as the Broncos season went downhill. He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs but was not active for any games. After a long waiting period in a dry running back free agent market, Gordon will join a backfield with J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, and Justice Hill. While Gordon is unlikely to be fantasy-relevant, he could be a thorn in the side of Dobbins' fantasy managers in 2023. Based on this signing, Baltimore appears to be implementing a committee approach once again under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
