George Kirby Has Excellent Start Against Twins
1 year agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher George Kirby was fantastic on Thursday, authoring one of his best starts of the season in a 5-0 win over the Minnesota Twins. Kirby threw seven shutout frames, allowing just four hits and compiling 10 strikeouts to zero walks. Although there have been a few hiccups, Kirby's first full MLB season has been a good one, as he now has a 3.23 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with an absurd 103:11 K:BB ratio in 119 ⅔ IP. He has allowed more than one walk in a game once all season, and in that game he walked only two. His control gives him a very high floor, and he should be a safe fantasy option for years to come.
