Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Allen Robinson was the 61st overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Robinson played four years in Jacksonville. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL in his final season with the team, catching only one pass before suffering the injury.
However, the former Penn State star had 202 receptions on 384 targets for 2,848 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns in 43 games with the Jaguars. His best year came in 2015 with 80 receptions on 151 targets for 1,4000 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. The 1,400 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns remain career highs for the veteran.
After spending four years in Jacksonville, Robinson signed with the Chicago Bears. He had 293 receptions on 465 targets for 3,561 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in four years with the team.

What Did Allen Robinson Accomplish In 2022?
The veteran signed a three-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams last offseason. Many had high hopes for the former Penn State star. Robinson was taking over as the No. 2 wide receiver on an offense that had lost Robert Woods and Odell Beckham Jr.
Unfortunately, he struggled with the Rams. The veteran wide receiver had only 33 receptions on 52 targets for 339 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 2022. Robinson set career lows in receptions, targets, and receiving yards last season. Yet, he finished second on the team in receiving touchdowns despite missing seven games.
After only one year with the team, Los Angeles traded the veteran wide receiver to the Steelers for a seventh-round pick swap during the 2023 NFL Draft.
Is Allen Robinson Worth Drafting For Fantasy Football?
Pittsburgh has two talented young wide receivers on the roster – Diontae Johnson and George Pickens. However, the rest of their wide receiver core is lackluster. While Robinson isn’t a star receiver anymore, the veteran has put in work with Kenny Pickett this offseason and should play a meaningful role for the Steelers.
However, is Robinson worth drafting this year? The answer is no. Pittsburgh had arguably the worst passing offense in the NFL last season. They ranked last in passing touchdowns with 14.
More importantly, the Steelers have three talented pass catchers. Johnson and Pickens accounted for 40.5% of the targets in 2022. Meanwhile, Pat Freiermuth finished second on the team with 98 targets. While Robinson should help Pickett take the next step in his development, the veteran’s days as a meaningful fantasy wide receiver are over.
