Kenny Pickett Is The Steelers' Future
In nine games last season, Kenny Pickett had a passer rating of 76.7 with 2,404 yards, seven touchdowns, and nine interceptions. Although his numbers weren't impressive, he showed glimpses of potential, which was enough to seal the QB1 position for the upcoming season.
The Steelers drafted offensive tackle Broderick Jones in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and he will improve their offensive line significantly. Moreover, tight end Darnell Washington will also be an asset with his elite blocking skills.
The addition of Allen Robinson will also be huge for Pickett, and George Pickens and Diontae Johnson will likely improve in the upcoming season. Pickett has many weapons at his disposal. If he can make the sophomore-year leap, he will have a fantastic season.
As a result, the Steelers QB is set up for success. He will undeniably be a good QB2 option in Superflex leagues if other dual-threat quarterbacks are no longer available.
The Steelers Are A Sneaky Playoff Contender
The AFC is stacked with good teams, and the AFC North is one of the toughest divisions in football. Despite that, the Steelers can qualify for the playoffs since they have a good team and the experience of making such runs under head coach Mike Tomlin.
Kenny Pickett has a great opportunity to secure a spot as the Steelers' starting quarterback for the foreseeable future. He should continue developing and improving, making him a target for fantasy managers.
