1 year agoNew York Islanders winger Oliver Wahlstrom has signed a new one-year contract with the team, agreeing to his qualifying offer which was worth $874,125. The 23-year-old was a restricted free agent after coming off his entry-level contract. The former first-round pick has tallied 31 goals and 61 points in 161 NHL regular-season appearances. He amassed seven goals and 16 points in 35 games last season before being forced to miss the second half of the campaign with a lower-body injury.
