Tank Bigsby "Fits Everything" Jaguars Are Looking For
1 year agoJacksonville Jaguars running backs coach Bernie Parmalee said rookie running back Tank Bigsby is the type of back the Jaguars were looking to add this offseason, and he's lived up to the billing thus far. "This is the type of back we wanted to bring to the table," said Parmalee. "And he fits everything that we were looking for. And he popped off the screen (on film)." Parmalee also said Bigby's receiving skills during OTAs exceeded expectations. "So when we got him it's like, oh, you know, he does have pretty good hands," Parmalee said. "Sometimes you just don't know until you get them and you got your hands on them and then you sit there say, Oh, he actually can do that." Bigby's receiving upside was a big question mark on his prospect profile, so it's a promising development. Travis Etienne should remain the clear RB1 in Jacksonville, but Bigsby could have some standalone value or at least be a high-end running back handcuff in 2023. If Etienne misses any games, Bigsby could see a big workload in one of the league's ascending offenses.
