Bryce Miller Activated From The 15-Day IL, Starting Sunday
1 year agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Bryce Miller (finger) has been activated from the 15-day injured list and will start on Sunday against the Detroit Tigers. The 24-year-old hurler developed a blister on his throwing hand in his last start before the All-Star break back on June 30. He was then placed on the injured list on July 3 with a blister on his right middle finger. It took longer than normal to recover but Miller is ready to roll on Sunday against the Tigers at home. He owns a 3.97 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and 55:12 K/BB ratio across 59 innings (11 starts) this season. Reliever Matt Festa was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move.
