Brian Anderson Lands On 10-Day Injured List
1 year agoThe Milwaukee Brewers placed infielder/outfielder Brian Anderson (back) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to July 13) on Sunday with a lower-back strain and recalled infielder Jahmai Jones from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move. It remains to be seen if Anderson will be able to return when his 10 days on the injured list are up. With the 30-year-old on the shelf, Andruw Monasterio will make his third straight start at the hot corner on Sunday and will hit seventh against Cincinnati Reds right-hander Ben Lively. Anderson isn't a must-stash in deep-mixed fantasy leagues, especially if he misses extended time, as he's hitting just .229 (67-for-292) on the year with nine home runs, 11 doubles, two triples, 38 RBI and 35 runs scored in 334 trips to the plate over 85 games played.
