Chris Sale To Throw First Bullpen On Tuesday
1 year agoBoston Red Sox left-hander Chris Sale (shoulder) will throw his first bullpen session on Tuesday, which will be his first time throwing off a mound since he was injured on June 1. Sale has started to ramp up his throwing program, and barring any setbacks, he could be back in Boston's starting rotation early in August. The seven-time All-Star made just 11 starts from 2020 to 2022 due to injuries, and he can't seem to stay out of the trainer's room. The 34-year-old southpaw managed to make 11 starts for the BoSox this year before getting injured again, and he was posting a career-high 4.58 ERA (3.70 FIP) before landing on the injured list. Still, Sale should remain stashed in all fantasy leagues. He has 71 strikeouts and only 15 walks in his 59 innings pitched.
