Max Scherzer In Danger Of Having Next Start Pushed Back
1 year agoNew York Mets right-hander Max Scherzer (undisclosed) will probably still make his next start on Sunday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but he has been dealing with an undisclosed issue that has the team considering pushing him back until Tuesday against the Chicago White Sox. "Nothing arm related," manager Buck Showalter said. The Mets plan to decide on Scherzer's next start by the end of the day, so fantasy managers should check back for updates. The 38-year-old will be extra risky for fantasy managers if he does make his first start of the second half of the season this Sunday against the potent Dodgers lineup. In his last two starts before the All-Star break, Scherzer allowed nine earned runs in 11 innings, so perhaps it's something he's been dealing with for a bit now.
