1 year agoNew York Mets left-hander Jose Quintana (ribs) has reached the maximum allowed during his minor-league rehab window and will be activated from the 60-day injured list for the start of the second half of the season on Friday. Quintana will most likely make his season debut with the Mets next week after recovering from bone-graft surgery on his ribs in the spring. The 34-year-old Colombian southpaw had a 4.60 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, eight walks and 16 K's in 15 2/3 frames over five rehab appearances (four starts) at three minor-league levels. He's coming off a career-best 2.93 ERA with the Pirates and Cardinals in 2022, but fantasy managers certainly shouldn't expect that level of performance in the second half from Quintana while coming off his injury this year. Still, he's worth a pickup in deep-mixed leagues, and he's only rostered in six percent of Yahoo leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
