Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Friday, July 14, 2023. The 2023 MLB season is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks.
PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.
Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.
PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Alec Marsh more than 4.0 strikeouts
Marsh has struggled a bit in his first two starts thus far, however, he has managed to strike out at least five batters in each of those two starts. He has struggled with walks as noted by his seven walks across his first nine innings pitched, however, he faced two teams ranked inside the top 10 in terms of walk rate vs. right-handers in the Dodgers and Twins, respectively. Now, he will be up against the Rays, who rank in the bottom half of the league in terms of walk rate vs. righties over the previous two weeks. They also rank eighth-worst in terms of K rate vs. righties over the previous two weeks with a rate of 25.3%.
Tyler Glasnow more than 8.0 strikeouts
We are going to stay in the same game here with Glasnow as he has struck out 31 batters across his last 16 1/3 innings pitched. His matchup tonight against the Royals is a solid one as well. Over the previous two weeks, Kansas City has stuck out vs. right-handers at a rate of 28%, which is ranked second-worst in baseball behind only the Angels. They have also posted an abysmal 49 wRC+ mark and just a 5.5% walk rate over that same span.
Charlie Morton more than 6.0 strikeouts
Morton has been my nemesis in the past, however, he has a solid matchup tonight that can certainly be taken advantage of in the White Sox. Over the previous two weeks, Chicago has posted the seventh-highest K rate vs. right-handers with a rate of 25.5%. Meanwhile, Morton has struck out more than six batters in five of his previous eight starts and also matched this number in one of those eight starts,
Graham Ashcraft less than 4.0 strikeouts
Ashcraft has failed to reach or eclipse this total in four of his previous five starts and in seven of his previous nine starts. He has a tough matchup against the Brewers as they have posted the eighth-best K rate vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks with a rate of 20.3%. They are also posting the best walk rate in baseball vs. righties over the previous two weeks with a rate of 12.6% and are posting a very respectable wRC+ mark of 105.
