1 year agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley is unhappy with the team's decision to place the franchise tag on him this offseason. The 26-year-old Pro Bowler is seeking a long-term deal to stay in New York, but the two sides have been at a standstill in recent weeks, and the deadline to reach a long-term extension is Monday, July 17 at 4 p.m. Eastern. According to ESPN's Dianna Russini, Barkley's Week 1 availability against the Dallas Cowboys could be in question if the contract dispute is not resolved. Needless to say, this is a concerning situation for fantasy managers who have already drafted Barkley in redraft formats or dynasty managers counting on him in their RB spot.
