Welcome to our PrizePicks PGA DFS prop picks for the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open (Round 1). The 2023 PGA Tour season is in full swing, and to celebrate, PrizePicks has an extensive selection of PGA props to take advantage of! PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or singular stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best and easiest-to-win PGA DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit of up to $100.
This week, we're at the Renaissance Club for the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open! The National Open of the country that gave us this great game carries a special connotation to those that triumph here, but a top finish in North Berwick is especially important to those in the field without a ticket into next week's Open Championship at Royal Liverpool. The top three finishers that haven't already qualified for the Open will receive a special exemption at Hoylake and officially mark themselves as one of only 160 people on the planet with a chance to earn the Title of 2023 Champion Golfer of the Year. For the bigger names that have made the trip to North Berwick, the Scottish Open will provide them with the only competitive reps available on a links course in 2023. We saw Cameron Smith parlay a Top 10 finish here at Renaissance last year into an Open triumph 20 miles North at St. Andrews, so you can bet that many of the early favorites next week will be looking for something to build on heading into the final Major of the season. I and the entire Rotoballer PGA staff have put out 1,000s of words on the course, key stats, and field this week, so this article won't be focused on the minutiae of projecting outright winners or DFS pivot plays. Instead, I'll be solely focused on a few money-making opportunities I've found in PrizePicks' unique markets to help you build your bankroll as the PGA Tour season gets into full swing! Today's plays are specifically for round one on Thursday, July 13.

Corey Conners MORE than Antoine Rozner - Birdies or Better Matchup
In a field full of Ryder Cup mainstays and Links Course Ringers, you wouldn't expect Corey Conners to be a name worth monitoring across the pond. However, I'm here to tell you the Canadian brings a much more compelling links profile than you might expect. Conners has finished 28th and 15th over his last two Open Championship appearances and he's continually proved himself as one of the PGA Tour's premier wind players (#1 from T2G and Ball-Striking in Windy Conditions since the start of 2019 - 32 rounds).
The Canadian ace also comes in with some of the filthiest recent metrics in the entire field. At 0.6 Strokes Gained per round Off-The-Tee and 0.8 Strokes Gained per round on Approach over his last 36 rounds, Conners is one of just three players to rank as a Top 10 driver and iron player over that span. The other two? Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.
This elite ball-striking makes the floor on Conners inconceivably high when compared to those around him on the odds board, and especially when matched up against a player in Rozner who has been a below-average European Tour player in five consecutive starts (Per SG: Total). The Frenchman notably had the worst single-putting week of his career around the Renaissance Club last year (-7.75 in two rounds), and has lost strokes in five of his last six starts in Europe. From a statistical standpoint, this is as clear a mismatch as you'll find on the board this week. I'll gladly add this matchup into my ever-expanding Conners prop portfolio this week.
Wyndham Clark LESS than 69.0 Strokes
A very near-miss on my outright card this week, I'm not shying away one bit from our U.S. Open Champion in the prop market. Wyndham continues to be priced as an afterthought despite his 4th place standing in the FedEx Cup Points List, and the disrespect is even further highlighted by this line of 69.0 Strokes in tomorrow morning's opening round.
Over his last 36 rounds, Wyndham ranks 5th in this field in Birdie or Better Percentage, 3rd in SG: Putting, 6th in GIR %, and 5th in Par 5 Scoring. His elite distance off-the-tee will play well at Renaissance's forgiving layout, and he notably found a great deal of success in last year's wind-swept slogfest that played as the third most difficult tournament of the 2022 season.
Clark managed a very impressive T16 in his Scottish Open debut, but perhaps more impressively, he finished third on the week from Tee-to-Green and third in Total Ball-Striking. Wyndham is very clearly a more complete player heading into 2023's rendition, and there's nothing in the recent stats to suggest he should be priced anywhere but alongside the elite names in the game. At my most conservative projection, I'd place Wyndham Clark as a Top 10 golfer on the planet, and if books want to suggest otherwise, I'll gladly continue to buy stock.
