Left Tackle Spot Is Duane Brown's To Lose
1 year agoThe starting left tackle spot for the New York Jets is Duane Brown's to lose, and he can really only lose the job if he's not physically ready to play after having shoulder surgery. The Jets could let Mekhi Becton fill in at the position early in the year while Brown recovers. Becton will also be competing for the starting job at right tackle this summer. Brown missed the first four games of last season with his shoulder injury and then also missed the regular season finale in Week 18. Expect the 37-year-old former first-rounder to be eased into activities in training camp this summer, but when he's ready, he'll serve as quarterback Aaron Rodgers' blind-side protector.
