Jasson Dominguez Hitting Just .204 At Double-A
1 year agoNew York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez, the team's top overall prospect per MLB Pipeline, is hitting just .204 (57-for-280) in 76 games for Double-A Somerset this year, although he does have 10 home runs, eight doubles, a triple, 39 RBI, 24 stolen bases and 55 runs scored in his 345 trips to the plate. Dominguez is still only 20 years old and has a 17.7 percent walk rate, but his 28.4 percent strikeout rate is a bit concerning. The talented switch-hitter probably isn't going to make his major-league debut this season, so he should only be rostered right now in dynasty/keeper leagues. Dominguez has elite bat speed from both sides of the plate and has the ability to provide a high average and elite power and speed in time.
