Mick Abel Picks Up Win In MLB Futures Game
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies pitching prospect Mick Abel picked up the win as the opener in the MLB Futures game. He struck out Jonatan Clase and Harry Ford, with Marcelo Mayer being the lone AL player to get a hit off Abel in the first inning. His plus fastball stayed in the upper-90s in the Futures game. He's struggled this season for Double-A Reading, with a 4.75 ERA and a career-low 26.7% strikeout rate. Nevertheless, Abel is one of the game's top pitching prospects and should already be rostered in dynasty leagues.
