Andrew Benintendi Taking A Seat On Saturday
Andrew Benintendi is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 29-year-old is sitting out while rookie Zach Remillard draws the start at second base and bats leadoff while Luis Robert Jr., Oscar Colas, and Gavin Sheets round out the White Sox outfield. Benintendi hasn't really justified the hefty contract that he signed in the offseason so far, slashing .280/.347/.369 with one home run, 23 RBI, and nine stolen bases over 314 at-bats. He should be back out there for the series finale on Sunday.

Andrew Benintendi To Be Evaluated In A Week Or Two
Andrew Benintendi (calf) will be re-evaluated in a week or two. "If it's up to me, I'd be back right now," Benintendi said on Wednesday. "But there's obviously a long way to go, so there's certain steps I've got to take." Benintendi was placed on the 10-day injured list on May 7 with a left-calf strain and has a ways to go before rejoining the big-league roster. When the 30-year-old is cleared to resume baseball activities, he'll eventually need to go on a minor-league rehab assignment as well, so we may not see him again until early June. The former seventh overall pick by the Boston Red Sox in 2015 out of Arkansas still has some power (five homers in 85 at-bats) but he does little else for fantasy managers and is likely on the waiver wire in most mixed leagues. Michael Taylor should continue to see extra playing time in Chicago until Benintendi is ready to return.

Andrew Benintendi Hits 10-Day Injured List
Andrew Benintendi (calf) on the 10-day injured list prior to their contest on Wednesday evening against the Kansas City Royals. Benintendi suffered this injury during their contest against the Astros on Sunday. In a corresponding move, the White Sox promoted infielder Nick Maton from Triple-A Charlotte. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Benintendi's status over the next week, in case he has a lengthy stint on the injured list. Through his first 24 games of the regular season, the 30-year-old posted a .224/.298/.400 slash line with five home runs. Under the hood, he has generated a modest .323 xwOBA. While he is sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Brooks Baldwin to see most of the opportunities in left field.

Andrew Benintendi Remains Sidelined On Tuesday
Andrew Benintendi (calf) remains out of the starting nine on Tuesday. Benintendi was also held out of action on Monday due to calf tightness. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to Wednesday's game. The 30-year-old exited Sunday's contest early due to this injury. This evening, the White Sox will give Brooks Baldwin the starting nod in left field, and he will bat in the seven-hole. Before his injury, Benintendi held a modest .224/.298/.400 slash line with five home runs across his first 24 games of the regular season. Under the hood, the 30-year-old generated a weak .219 xBA but showed a strong eye at the plate, as he only struck out at a 17.9 percent rate. When healthy, he should continue to have an everyday role in left field. This evening, Baldwin is best to fade in DFS facing Kansas City right-hander Seth Lugo.

Andrew Benintendi Out With Calf Injury On Monday
Andrew Benintendi (calf) is not in the team's starting lineup for Monday's series opener on the road against the division-rival Kansas City Royals. Michael Taylor will patrol left field and will hit eighth against Royals left-hander Cole Ragans. Benintendi was removed in the sixth inning of Sunday's game against the Houston Astros with tightness in his left calf while running the bases, so the White Sox will hold him out on Monday against a left-hander. The 30-year-old veteran is being considered day-to-day for now, so there's a chance he returns as early as Game 2 of the series in KC on Tuesday. Outside of some modest pop from the left side, Benintendi has little fantasy upside for those in deeper leagues. He's gone 19-for-85 (.224) with five homers, 12 RBI and 13 runs so far this year. Taylor represents a low-upside DFS sleeper, and he's never faced Ragans in his career.
