PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Hunter Brown more than 6.0 strikeouts
Brown has struck out more than six in six of his previous nine starts while also matching this total in one start. He will be up against the Mariners, who are striking out at a rate of 25.8% vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks vs., which ranks sixth-worst in baseball. This game will also be at Minute Maid Park where Brown has posted a 9.6 K/9 thus far in 2023.
Jordan Montgomery more than 5.5 strikeouts
Montgomery has struck out at least six batters in each of his previous five starts and has a solid matchup against the White Sox in this one. Over the previous two weeks, Chicago is posting a 26.6% K rate vs. Southpaws, which ranks ninth-worst in baseball. Monty will also be on the road in this one where he has posted a 2.91 ERA and 8.4 K/9, both of which are better than his home rates.
Zac Gallen more than 6.0 strikeouts
Here we go, another Zac Gallen home start. At home in 2023, Gallen has posted a ridiculous 1.50 ERA and 10.7 K/9. He has struck out at least six batters in all but one home start in 2023. He will be up against the Pirates in this one, who have posted a 22.2% K rate vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks. While this K rate for the Pirates is not absurdly awful, it should be high enough for Gallen to get over the hump at home, or at least push in some flex plays.
Carlos Rodon more than 6.0 strikeouts
This is certainly going to be risky as we are not quite sure about the length of the leash that Rodon will be given. That being said, the strikeout potential for Rodon in this matchup is rather high as the Cubs have struggled vs. left-handers to the tune of posting a 26.4% K rate over the previous two weeks, ranking them in the bottom 10 in baseball. They have also posted an abysmal walk rate of 4.8% and a wRC+ mark of just 80. I think we see a lot of swings and misses on stuff outside of the zone in this one leading to Rodon having a solid 2023 debut.
Other Recommendations: Jack Flaherty less than 5.5 strikeouts
