Justin Turner Could Play Second Base In The Coming Days
1 year agoBoston Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that infielder/designated hitter Justin Turner could be seen at second base in the coming days so that the team can maximize their offense. Christian Arroyo has been seeing most of the starts at the keystone for the BoSox, but he's hitting just .242 (36-for-149) with three homers, 18 RBI and a stolen base on the year. Turner, on the other hand, is slashing .279/.352/.460 with an .812 OPS, 13 homers, 47 RBI and four stolen bases. The 38-year-old veteran has appeared at second base in Boston only four times in 2023, but his last start there came in September of 2015. Fantasy managers shouldn't count on Turner gaining second-base eligibility for the second half of this year.
