Mike Trout Out 4-8 Weeks After Having Surgery
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (hand) is expected to miss significant time after undergoing surgery on Wednesday. The superstar outfielder is expected to miss 4-8 weeks of action after having surgery to address a left hamate fracture. The expectation is that Trout is going to be sidelined until early August. However, that seems like the best case scenario, which doesn't always happen. This is a huge blow to both the Angels organization and to fantasy managers. It doesn't sound like Trout is done for the season, which is a bright spot. The Angels will likely try to fill the void with Mickey Moniak, Taylor Ward, and Jo Adell. Out of the trio, Moniak appears to be the best option right now.
