1 year agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (hand) is expected to miss significant time after undergoing surgery on Wednesday. The superstar outfielder is expected to miss 4-8 weeks of action after having surgery to address a left hamate fracture. The expectation is that Trout is going to be sidelined until early August. However, that seems like the best case scenario, which doesn't always happen. This is a huge blow to both the Angels organization and to fantasy managers. It doesn't sound like Trout is done for the season, which is a bright spot. The Angels will likely try to fill the void with Mickey Moniak, Taylor Ward, and Jo Adell.
