Francisco Lindor Steals Two Bases Tuesday
1 year agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor picked up two stolen bases in the team's 8-5 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on the Fourth of July on Tuesday. Lindor also went 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI, two runs scored, a walk and a strikeout in the contest. It was notable, with it being the 29-year-old's first game this year with more than one steal, and he now has 11 on the season. He got off to a very disappointing start in his third year with the Mets in 2023, but he's beginning to play the way he's capable of. Lindor is hitting .289 (15-for-52) with five home runs, three doubles, 12 RBI, five stolen bases and 13 runs scored in his last 15 games, dating back to June 18. The hot stretch has raised his season slash line to .224/.310/.448 in 85 games played. Fantasy managers will be hoping he can continue this into the start of the second half of the season.
