Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs is expected to take a leap in his sophomore season in the NFL. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, and while he initially didn't get along well with Aaron Rodgers, Doubs ended up showing flashes of brilliance in his first year.
Now that Rodgers is no longer in Green Bay, the young players on the team should be under less pressure and can excel with Jordan Love as their quarterback. Doubs is expected to become a reliable option for Love going forward. Per reports, the Packers' new starting quarterback has developed a great relationship with the 23-year-old wideout over the course of the off-season.
In this article, we'll look at whether Doubs is a breakout candidate for the 2023 NFL season, as well as what fantasy owners can expect from him.

Romeo Doubs will help Jordan Love's progression
All eyes will be on Jordan Love, who is replacing Aaron Rodgers as the Packers starting quarterback in the upcoming campaign. The squad around him is pretty young so both Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs will play a huge role in his progression as a quarterback.
The Packers do have a great running game spearheaded by AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones, and they also recently drafted tight end Luke Musgrave. Doubs is very likely to have a breakout season in 2023, as both his quarterback and head coach Matt LaFleur have faith in him. The Packers head into this upcoming season with very minimal expectations and that should help all their young players perform significantly better than they did last season.
Romeo Doubs had a promising rookie season
As stated earlier, Romeo Doubs showed the flashes of a star receiver in his rookie season and will undoubtedly play better in his second season. Last year he hauled in 42 receptions for 425 yards and scored three touchdowns in 13 games. He will definitely improve on these numbers with Jordan Love, as the new Packers QB has much more faith in him than Rodgers ever did.
Doubs got better every year in college, and it's likely that he'll do the same in the NFL. In his four years at Nevada, he had 225 receptions, 3322 yards, and 22 touchdowns across 43 career games. Both Watson and Doubs have the potential to become stars for the Packers, and it will be interesting to see how they do with Jordan Love as their quarterback.
