Terrace Marshall Jr. Relishing "Fresh Start"
1 year agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. has had a slow start to his NFL career, catching just 44 of his 77 targets for 628 yards and one touchdown. Carolina's QB situation has been less than ideal, but the 2021 second-round pick's production is still disappointing. However, Marshall said he'll enter training camp with a clear mind and is he's ready for a fresh start with a new coaching staff. "I'd say one word to describe it is just clear -- clear-minded, just ready to take on what this year's going to bring," Marshall said. "Just taking it one day at a time, really. Just grinding it out with the team, getting work right with the scheme and QBs. I'm ready to go." Time will tell if the new staff will benefit Marshall, but the former LSU Tiger could be on the outside looking in on the Panthers' wide receiver depth chart. He'll compete with Adam Thielen, Jonathan Mingo, and DJ Chark to earn targets in 2023. For now, he's nothing more than a late-round dart throw in deep fantasy leagues.
