Corbin Carroll Pinch Hits On Sunday
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (shoulder) was out of Sunday's starting lineup against the Los Angeles Angels for the third straight day due to a shoulder injury he sustained on Thursday, but he entered Sunday's game in the ninth inning as a pinch-hitter and grounded out. The 22-year-old also took batting practice over the weekend, so he appears close to returning to the field, hopefully on Tuesday against the New York Mets after Monday's off day. The D-backs haven't been too concerned about Carroll's injury this whole time, so fantasy managers shouldn't be either. The second-year outfielder is extremely valuable in all fantasy categories, as he's currently slashing .289/.365/.557 with a .923 OPS, 17 home runs, 44 RBI, 24 stolen bases and 60 runs scored in 287 at-bats.
