1 year agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso showed off his power during Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants. The right-handed slugger blasted a two-run shot in the eighth inning to help seal the victory for the Mets. The 28-year-old finished the game 2-for-4 with three RBI in the 8-4 win. He also announced that he plans on participating in the upcoming Home Run Derby in Seattle this month. It's always entertaining watching Alonso swing for the fences. He's slashing .221/.316/.520 to go with his 25 homers and 58 RBI this season.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
