Julio Rodriguez Reaches Twice In Sunday's Win
Julio Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored, and a strikeout, and was caught stealing in a 7-6 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday. It was a total team effort for the M's on Sunday as they were facing a 6-1 deficit heading into the bottom of the third inning. Rodriguez got things going when he doubled off Taj Bradley and then came around to score via a Ty France double in the same frame. He would single later in the contest and was originally awarded his 20th steal of the season, which was later overturned by a Tampa Bay challenge. Seattle ended up taking 2-of-3 from the Rays after an embarrassing loss on Friday in which they surrendered 15 unanswered runs. Perhaps this victory will give J-Rod and the Mariners some much-needed momentum heading into a road series against the San Francisco Giants. For the season, Rodriguez is slashing .246/.308/.413 with 13 home runs, 43 RBI, and 19 stolen bases over 334 at-bats.

Julio Rodriguez Goes Deep On Tuesday
Julio Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with a home run during their victory over the Athletics on Tuesday evening. Rodriguez went deep in the opening frame with a solo shot off Athletics left-hander Jeffrey Springs. Over his past nine contests, the 24-year-old has begun to find his power as he has gone deep three times over this stretch, and held a strong .289/.357/.553 slash line with three home runs, one double, and a 5:3 K:BB. During his first 26 games of the regular season, the former top prospect posted a .196/.311/.353 line with three home runs and a 28:14 K:BB. Rodriguez has generated a .355 xwOBA with a .475 xSLG, which suggests he should remain productive at the plate throughout the summer. He will look to stay hot on Wednesday, facing right-hander Gunner Hoglund.

Julio Rodriguez Sitting On Saturday
Julio Rodriguez will get his first day off the season on Saturday afternoon when the Mariners continue a series against the Toronto Blue Jays. Rodriguez has gone just 1-for-16 over his last four contests with a 20.0 percent strikeout rate. Fantasy managers should expect the star outfielder to return to the starting nine on Sunday. Through the first 20 games of the campaign, the former top prospect has held an underwhelming .179/.304/.359 slash line with three home runs. However, a look under the hood suggests Rodriguez should see significant positive regression throughout the season. He has generated a strong .352 xwOBA with a 93.7 mph average exit velocity and a 75.3 mph bat speed, which are all well above the average marks. With Rodriguez sitting out, Luke Raley will cover center field, and Miles Mastrobuoni will enter the starting nine. The Mariners are a viable stack in DFS facing Toronto right-hander Jose Berrios.

Julio Rodriguez Posts Three-Hit Performance
Julio Rodriguez did a little bit of everything during Friday's game against the San Francisco Giants. Rodriguez was hitless over his last two games coming into Friday's contest, but he made up for it here. He went 3-for-6 with a home run, stolen base, and one walk in a wild 10-9 loss in 11 innings. Rodriguez took right-hander Justin Verlander deep for his second blast of the season. The 24-year-old hasn't been great at the plate this season, but remains a must-start fantasy option. Hopefully this performance will help Rodriguez get it going at the plate.

Julio Rodriguez Goes Yard On Sunday
Julio Rodriguez, blasted his first home run of the 2025 season on Sunday against left-handed pitcher JP Sears. His two-run home run proved to be enough to help the Mariners secure a 2-1 victory and split their four-game series against the Athletics to open the 2025 campaign. Rodriguez is off to a slow start to the year, going 2-for-12 with three walks, two stolen bases, and six strikeouts, so hopefully, this home run can get him some confidence going into their next series against the Detroit Tigers. Fantasy managers can continue to start Rodriguez in all formats, as the 24-year-old is looking to bounce back from a poor 2024 season, where he only hit 20 home runs compared to 28 and 32 in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
