Max Griffin Ready To Pull Off Upset
2 years agoMax Griffin (19-9) is coming off a decision win over Tim Means and is 4-1 in his last five fights, but he will now face undefeated prospect Michael Morales at UFC Vegas 76 on Saturday. Griffin is 7-7 in the UFC, but of late has been fighting veterans like Means, Neil Magny and Carlos Condit, so he said he feels disrespected that he's facing Morales. Griffin enters the fight as a sizeable underdog, as DraftKings has him at a salary of $7,200. In his UFC career, Griffin is averaging 67.86 fantasy points per fight. Griffin is extremely durable -- In his seven UFC losses, he has only been finished once while only finishing three of his seven UFC wins by stoppage.

Max Griffin Takes Close Split-Decision Loss In Columbus
3 years agoPreviously on a three-fight winning streak and hoping to make it four in a row, Max Griffin fell just short on Saturday by dropping a split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) to Neil Magny on the main card of the Columbus event. In 15 minutes of action, Griffin tallied 67 significant strikes (75 total strikes) and missed on both of his takedown tries. Griffin did have some bright spots in the contest, including a nice knockdown with a big right hand in the first round. Griffin won two of his three fights on his last streak via finish, and there is no reason to believe he cannot pick up where he left off when he gets back into the Octagon.
