MacKenzie Gore Dealing With A Blister
1 year agoWashington Nationals right-hander MacKenzie Gore (finger) exited Saturday's start against the Philadelphia Phillies with a blister on his left middle finger. He allowed seven runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three across 2 2/3 innings before exiting. The 24-year-old is considered day-to-day and is questionable for his next scheduled start on Thursday against the Reds. He owns a 4.48 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, and a 107: 39 K: BB across 88 1/3 innings in 2023. Gore will undergo further evaluation, and it's unclear if he will make his next start before the All-Star Break.
