Brook Lopez Not Going Anywhere
1 year agoFree-agent center Brook Lopez will remain in Milwaukee on a two-year, $48 million deal. The veteran has been in the league for over a decade but reinvented himself with the Bucks by improving his ability to shoot the ball from deep. He played only 13 games in 2021-22 because of a back injury. However, Lopez appeared in 78 contests last season, averaging 15.9 points and 6.7 rebounds. He also logged 2.5 blocks per game and was in the running for the Defensive Player of the Year award. That said, despite interest from Houston, the 35-year-old will stay with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton and look to win another NBA Championship. At the same time, Lopez should continue to be a productive fantasy option, assuming he stays healthy. But his age makes him less appealing in dynasty formats.
