Josh Richardson Returns To Miami
1 year agoJosh Richardson will be back in Miami Heat colors next season after striking a two-year deal with the team. He will be paid the veteran minimum and the second year on the contract is a player option. The Heat drafted Richardson in the second round back in 2015, and he had a productive four-year spell with the team before getting traded to Philadelphia in a deal that landed the Heat Jimmy Butler. Richardson has since then bounced around multiple teams, and he suited up for San Antonio and New Orleans last season, averaging 10.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists mainly as a bench contributor. He looks set to play a significant role in Miami in 2023-24, with Max Strus skipping town and the team losing a couple of other rotational pieces compared to last season.
